No ERP modification
Distrify works with the data Telcona already had: supplier spreadsheets and standard ERP exports. No custom development, no open ended consulting bill, no risk to the systems that run the business.
A Swiss franchised distributor met its customers on the platform they had already moved to, without touching the ERP, the business system it runs on.
Customer feedback was consistent: procurement teams wanted real time stock visibility and self service sourcing. Telcona’s customers had moved to platforms like Luminovo, and Telcona needed to be present there.
Their ERP handled internal operations well, but it is a generalist system, not built for electronics distribution or for digital sales channels. When Telcona asked their ERP consultant to build an API connection to Luminovo, the answer exposed the real problem.
The costs to build and maintain this API connection are not predictable and depend on the readiness of the customer’s ERP system.
The hesitation was fair. Restructuring the existing ERP to serve custom digital requirements was the expensive path, and an open ended one. Telcona needed something that understood both sides: the data they already had (ERP exports, supplier files, customer specific pricing) and what a modern procurement platform expects to receive.
Telcona chose Distrify as the digital layer in front of the ERP. Three things decided it.
Distrify works with the data Telcona already had: supplier spreadsheets and standard ERP exports. No custom development, no open ended consulting bill, no risk to the systems that run the business.
The connection to Luminovo and other procurement platforms ships with the platform. Nobody had to read an API spec or maintain a bespoke connector.
Component data structures, stock logic, lifecycle status and customer specific pricing are the product, not an edge case to be configured around.
The rollout was three steps: prepare the existing data, upload it, switch the connections on. No development cycle, no change to the ERP architecture, no retraining on a new core system.
We needed a solution that could work with our existing systems without requiring expensive custom development. Distrify gave us exactly that: a platform that understands electronics distribution.
From first data preparation to a working API connection with Luminovo and other digital procurement platforms, including collection, formatting, upload and testing.
The core systems stayed as they were. The ERP keeps running operations and finance; Distrify handles the digital sales channels.
A clear SaaS price instead of an integration budget that depends on how ready the ERP turns out to be.
As new platforms appear, Telcona activates them from the same catalog instead of starting from zero.
The speed of implementation was remarkable. In less than a month, we went from discussing API integration challenges to having a fully functional connection with our customers’ procurement platforms.
